Professional Profile

Dr. Gasem Fallatah is an advisor for HRH the Saudi Energy Minister. Since joining the Ministry of Energy team, Gasem worked on establishing the Hydrocarbon Sustainability Program which aims at sustaining hydrocarbons demands through focusing on the environmental and economical aspects. Recently, Dr. Fallatah was tasked to lead the coordination team working on establishing the Circular Carbon Economy National Program through which Saudi Arabia aims to demonstrate its global leadership in tackling the emission challenges. Prior to joining the Ministry of Energy, Fallatah was the assistant deputy minister for Sectorial and Regional development in the Ministry of Economy and Planning before which he spent over 20 years in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemicals industries. Gasem holds a PhD degree from Newcastle University in Composite Materials engineering and in addition to his role in the Ministry of Energy, Gasem leads the activities of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance in the West Asia and Africa region.
